Information Governance is the specification of decision rights and an accountability framework to ensure appropriate behaviour in the valuation, creation, storage, use, archiving and deletion of information.
Information governance professionals must establish a framework of policies and procedures for organisations that ensures compliance obligations are met, while also ensuring that the information is effectively leveraged to provide value for the organisation.
Gartner Research 2007 define Information Governance as “the specification of decision rights and an accountability framework to ensure appropriate behaviour in the valuation, creation, storage, use, archiving and deletion of information.
This one day Information Governance course gives an overview of Information Governance (IG). It includes the components necessary to support and deliver an effective program in your organisation. This course will help you to understand those complexities. Including the standards and practices required. This course includes case and scenario reviews and discussion to provide practical grounding for participants

As part of our accreditation with the CPD accreditation group, you will receive either 6, 12 or 15 CPD points for each course attended depending on the course.
The Certificate in Managing Data Protection Compliance is a qualification and is the second qualification of a suite of 3 data protection qualifications.
We to try to avoid cancelling face to face courses, however if the number of delegates is below 5 we will offer this a virtual course instead.
