Information managers can use the Microsoft Purview AI Hub to discover generative AI activity in their organisation, including sensitive data usage and total number of users using AI apps. These apps include Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365 as well as AI apps from third-party large language modules (LLMs) such as Google Bard, Bing Chat, ChatGPT etc.

Protect
Information managers can use the Microsoft Purview AI Hub to protect Microsoft 365 Copilot interactions to prevent sensitive data from unauthorised access. They can also prevent users from pasting sensitive information or uploading sensitive documents to Generative AI sites. Adaptive Protection in Microsoft Purview enables you to take a dynamic approach to security, by proactively blocking high-risk users from pasting sensitive data into a third-party Generative AI app while allowing low risk users to do so.

Information managers can use the Microsoft Purview AI Hub to detect and mitigate business risks and regulatory violations. The following compliance features are included in the public preview of the Microsoft Purview AI Hub:
- New insights into non-compliant and unethical use of AI interactions to help organisations quickly gain insight into unethical use of AI such as regulatory collusion, money laundering, targeted harassment and more.
- New Compliance Manager assessment templates for EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 23894:2023 and ISO/IEC 42001 to help assess, implement, and strengthen compliance controls to meet AI regulatory requirements and standards.
